Perfect accommodation across the Lake District

The Lake District is one of England’s most popular holiday destinations and it isn’t difficult to see why. It is a region of staggering natural beauty with scenery on an epic scale. Located in the North Western corner of England the Lake District is home to both the highest mountains and the deepest lakes in the country. Not only is the Lakeland scenery stunning but it offers a multitude of activities from fell-walking and mountain-biking to sailing and swimming.

Here at the Lake District Guide we have compiled an extensive collection of places to stay. We have holiday cottages with open fires for the ideal romantic weekend; luxury hotels set right by the great lakes and bed & breakfasts offering flexibility.
Cumbria, the coast and beyond…

Whilst we cannot over emphasise the wonders within the bounds of the Lake District National Park the scenery doesn’t stop here. Despite being home to some of the highest peaks in Britain the Lake District is only a few miles from the coast. The old Roman port of Ravenglass is a favourite with its small harbour and dramatic backdrop of the fells. It is also home to one of the regions best preserved steam railways, the Ravenglass and Eskdale.
Further south is the Furness Peninsula which simply oozes history both ancient and modern.
