There are walks right from the front door, and views from this comfortable and superbly appointed sandstone farmhouse stretch in all directions.
The owners have furnished the farm house to an extremely high standard, with six en-suite bedrooms, two wood burning stoves and an Aga as well as a side-by-side fridge in the kitchen. The dining room table even converts to a half size snooker table, so you can all enjoy an evening or two polishing up your potting skills. The chances are though you’ll end up in the kitchen, with the cosy Aga, granite topped island and wood burning stove as the perfect backdrop to sit and chat.
The closest village is Melmerby, which has a welcoming pub, a village shop and a tea room. There’s even an indoor pool in the village, so you don’t need to go far for your exercise. Further beyond Melmerby is the beautiful and sinuous Ullswater Lake with its historic steamer boats, glorious walks and of course, swathes of the daffodils that inspired the poet William Wordsworth. This is an outdoor lover’s paradise, and there’s plenty of opportunity to enjoy everything from sailing to pony trekking during your stay.
Adjoining Todd Hills Hall Farmhouse is Gill Beck Barn (sleeping 6 guests) These properties can be booked individually or together to sleep 20 guests. Todd Hills & Vale Croft (sleeping 2 further guests) can be booked together to sleep 14 guests.

HOT TUB INFORMATION The owners would be happy for the guests to hire a tot tub at the property. This can be arranged with Cumbria Hot Tub Hire – 07703 046523 or info@cumbriahottubhire.co.uk. The owners will ask for a £30 surcharge to be added to the reservation to cover the cost of extra water and electricity used.
